Meet Your Neighbour: StoneTree Naturopathic Clinic

StoneTree Naturopathic Clinic is Collingwood’s largest naturopathic facility, visited thousands of times each year by patients seeking care for everything from acute colds and infections to serious immune disorders, chronic disease, and environmental toxicity.  Dr. Tara Gignac started sharing space for her practice in Collingwood and then in 2015 opened the clinic in its current location at 27 Third Street.  Today, the clinic has a team of five Naturopathic doctors, plus support staff.

Tara moved here in Grade 11 and then after graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine returned home to Collingwood to set up her practice. “It was always my intention to come back home after graduating from Naturopathic College and set up my practice in my hometown,” recalls Tara. “The building we have our clinic in has over 100 years of history in healthcare in this space which is neat.  We’ve been in the downtown core for over 15 years, and we love being in the heart of Collingwood.  We’re so close to the Farmers’ Market and all the festivals and events. We have a solid connection to community here which is really one of our very basic needs for health and wellbeing.”

“I think everyone should see a Naturopath.  Preventing disease is a lot easier than treating one. Most people don’t seek out care when they feel fine.  Naturopathic medicine is about looking at the whole person.  It’s about the patient.  Each one of us has our own unique health pattern. Our physiology, our emotions, our lifestyle, and our genetics give us our own one-of-a-kind body that responds in its own special way to the world around us. When you visit us, you’ll find we want to know exactly what makes you tick so we can find the best way to help you to your best health,” explains Tara.

All of the StoneTree Naturopathic Doctors are actively licensed and registered in the province of Ontario.  To meet the team at StoneTree visit this link

“You might find that our goal here is something different. Naturally we want to relieve your symptoms and help with those acute aches, pains, and conditions, but we’re also focused on something different: the long term. We want to help you along the path to your very best level of health, not just treat the symptoms of your disease. We want you to feel better, and then we want to help you stay that way,” affirms Tara.

If you have concerns about your health, you may wish to set up an appointment at StoneTree and start the conversation about your wellbeing.
