Meet Your Neighbour: Property Valet

Property Valet opened their doors in 2017 with their first short term accommodation property. Since that time, co-owners Sean Landreth, President and P.J. Slade, Vice-President, together with their team have grown the business to manage over 120 vacation rental properties in Collingwood and the surrounding region. The company is passionate about helping their clients achieve maximum financial success while enjoying the experience of owning a second home or vacation rental property. From top to bottom, they offer superior property management services to owners of vacation homes and rental properties

“Collingwood Downtown was a must for us when we were selecting the location for our head office because Collingwood is such a vibrant community and we wanted a visual presence in a small downtown with big appeal.  The location gives us excellent brand awareness, especially being located across the street from Sporting Life,” recalls Sean.  “Everyone that comes to the region to ski comes downtown to shop or dine at some point during their stay.  Being downtown is fantastic, we’re steps away to a diverse dining scene, we frequent places like The Huron Club and Prime Seven Nine for staff meetings or maybe hop across the street for an après work cocktail at 1858 Caesar Bar.  If we want a great cup of coffee or a snack, Summit Social House and Mad Dogs Vinyl Café are literally steps away,” continues Sean.

An advocate for governance within the short term accommodation industry, Sean and his team firmly believed that a managed short term stay is a better short term stay.  “We’ve grown to the point that we can employ over 40 people who are a local.  Each member of our team brings a different strength and skill set to Property Valet and they’re all essential to our business, but more importantly, they’re all part of making sure that we as a company provide a premium level of service that will ensure an exceptional guest experience,” says Sean.

Property Valet is also a company very much about giving back.  They’ve sponsored fundraising events like the Hospice Gala and hosted a golf tournament in support of My Friend’s House and are actively looking for a local sports team to sponsor.

Fun Fact:  The distinctive brick building at 219 Hurontario St., now home to the Property Valet office, features a front terrace retaining wall made of local rubble stone – a rare piece of traditional masonry on a mostly brick Main Street.  The wall is likely one of the oldest built structures in the town, and predates The Great Collingwood Fire of 1881 – while the building itself appeared on local maps as early as 1875.
