Since 2009 Nancy Begley together with her daughter Kim Blakeney have been helping people find great quality gently used children’s clothing at reasonable prices. Little Labels Children’s Boutique in Collingwood Downtown is a bright, well organized 1,500 square foot retail space offering a broad selection and size range of clothes for children in sizes 0 through to 14. They also have a delightful array of gently used equipment, toys, and books.
Kim and Nancy have a keen eye for popular labels and well-made brands. “We feel pretty good about offering good quality at really amazing prices, we’re good for the environment because we provide an alternative avenue for people to re-use, recycle and we’re easy on the wallet,” says Kim.
“We really appreciate the foot traffic we get by being in downtown Collingwood. All the events that the BIA puts on throughout the year are wonderful for getting people to the downtown core, whether they live here or are visiting,” continues Nancy. “The neighbourhood small business owners are wonderful, we refer business to them and it comes right back our way.”
“Before we opened, we spent a lot of time researching our market, which is something that’s really important to do. You want to make sure that if you’re bringing a product or service to the community, that there really is a need for what you want to offer and if you’re going to open a retail location, you need to understand that you are truly ruled by your counter,” advises Nancy.
Little Labels Children’s Boutique also buys gently used clothing for children, but you’ll want to call ahead and make sure that they are taking in new inventory. You can reach Kim or Nancy at 705.444.2024.
