Blue Ridge Meats is Collingwood’s premier butcher shop and retail store that specializes in selling high-quality cuts of meat and poultry products. Since 2005, Blue Ridge Meats has been known for their commitment to excellence, offering fresh, flavorful meats to their customers.

Blue Ridge Meats is a whole animal butchery, and all their meats are locally sourced. “Whole animal butchery is an approach that is focused on the craft of butchering an animal, using every part to its best potential.  The goal is to utilize all parts of the animal, not just the familiar cuts of meat.  By embracing this method, we become more mindful consumers, and it is about understanding the value of the entire animal.  This approach reduces waste and makes us more mindful consumers” explains Trevor Mathers who has over 37 years of experience in the industry.

This premier butcher shop specializes in locally sourced beef, poultry, pork, lamb, Kolapore Springs Trout, and they even have their own local Wagyu beef farm.  They offer dry and wet aged beef, 14 varieties of house made sausages and their own line of frozen entrees prepared in house by General Manager and Chef John Maan.  You can also find a nice selection of condiments, side dishes and cheeses in their dairy case and for special occasions, you can order a free-range turkey.
