This stylish home décor store in Collingwood Downtown offers everything from large-scale furniture pieces to unique home décor.
Tammy took over At Home Interiors in 2018 to share her experience and passion for interior design with her hometown community. Before purchasing the store, At Home Interiors was her go-to shop for all things home design.
Tammy and her husband Chris met in high school at Stayner Collegiate Institute, were married in 2004 and together are raising their two daughters, Charlotte and Ivy. One of the first projects the couple embarked on was the restoration of the Creemore House Inn, after that was completed, they flipped a few homes, and their most recent project was the complete restoration and rehabilitation of the Dorchester Hotel a building constructed in 1895 and one of Collingwood’s first hotels.
“My husband Chris and I started flipping and building houses a number of years ago and that led to a natural progression into home décor”, recalls Tammy. “I’ve learned a lot from the previous owner and taking over the store was a wonderful opportunity for me to put my own stamp on things, but I couldn’t do it without my team. We work so well together and each one of us brings different skillsets to the table which in turn allows us to offer our customers assistance in every aspect of home décor,” explains Tammy.
“Doing business in downtown Collingwood is wonderful, I love being part of such a supportive entrepreneurial community where there are so many female-run businesses. If we don’t have something a customer is looking for, we are very pleased to be able to refer them to another business in the downtown core that can help them. It’s also great to be able to shop at my favourite clothing store or dine at our favourite restaurants with the kids. There are so many great options downtown that are just steps away,” she continues.
