Dr. W.M. Franks

Bill Franks is a Canadian painter. Trained and influenced by A. Y. Jackson at a young age, Bill started an oil painting career “en plein air”. Jackson taught him how to make a sketch box and introduced him to the basics of colour.  Franks’ painting experience has taken him from one coast of Canada to the other, plus five trips to the High Arctic. His paintings hang in private collections across Canada and internationally. Bill has been painting for more than 70 years.
