Sunderland, Clarke and Young offer obstetrical services to their own patients as well as referrals from other family doctors who no longer offer this to their patients LABORATORY The Collingwood Medical Centre is proud to have an on-site “specimen collection centre” or otherwise known as “the lab” that only services Collingwood Medical Centre patients. The lab has its own direct phone number 705-445-2130.Laboratory hours are Monday and Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lab is staffed by a nurse who draws blood and provides the results within a short turn around time span in patient’s EMR. The nurse also performs many other services like ECGs, pulmonary functions, TRU-blood-pressure readings, 24 hr blood pressure monitoring and ankle-brachial index testing. Various injections are given such as B12, allergy shots and travel vaccines to name a few. The Flu shot clinics are held in our lab In the fall. Other services performed dressing changes, application of liquid nitrogen for plantar warts and Aclasta infusions for osteoporosis.
