Collingwood Fashion Week was an amazing collaboration of our Collingwood Downtown Fashion and Beauty businesses!
The third annual Collingwood Fashion Week is in the record books as an unparalleled success due to the dedication of an amazing group of volunteers and businesses representing the fashion and beauty sector in our community’s historic downtown.
The Fashion Week line-up included in-store Fashion Shows, Designer Trunk Shows, styling tips, creative workshops and ‘Sip and Shop’ elevated shopping experiences. Each day a selection of micro-events took place at local retailers and restaurants.
From the Launch Party to the Fashion Show Gala Finale, the week was a fun-filled experience, that also raised much needed funds for Hospice Georgian Triangle. Donations came from ticket sales and percentage of in-store sales throughout the week at the in-store events as well as a live art auction and donations from attendees at the Fashion Show Gala.
Special thanks to the organizing committee – Susan and Nicole Bishop, Sarah Pennal, Sarah Harrison, Chris Brakel, Kathleen Roth and Kayla von Zon – as well as Krystina Cunningham and Melissa Lougheed- Grant from Nick’s Unisex Salon – who provided hair and make-up services in return for a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle.
In all the event generated more than $21,000 for Hospice Georgian Triangle and the Collingwood BIA also extends a heartfelt thanks to the volunteers from Hospice who attended every event and assisted in welcoming attendees… we couldn’t have managed without you and we are so proud that this event has assisted your organization in its efforts to provide this vital service to our community.
The Collingwood Downtown BIA would also like to acknowledge the support of the Province of Ontario, BruceGreySimcoe and Experience Simcoe County for assisting in the staging and marketing of the event. Our media partners are also to be congratulated in ensuring that more people than ever explored the streets of our downtown to discover all that we have to offer. Thanks to On the Bay/Classical 102.9/BAYWATCH, Escarpment Magazine, mycollingwood.ca, The Peak 95.1, Fresh 93.1 and MAX 97.7 for spreading the word about Collingwood Fashion Week!
